Martha Stewart Fangirls Over Fellow Billionaire Rihanna At Awards Show – And Asks For A Selfie

At the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards, Martha Stewart made her love for musical icon Rihanna known. Stewart was honored with the year’s Icon Award.

Stewart gushed over the singer in an Instagram post, which shows Stewart and Rihanna side by side, smiling at the camera in the classy event’s blue lighting.

Stewart captioned the post, “RIRI @badgalriri is so beautiful! And statuesque! And has a very handsome and funny boyfriend, asap rocky (@asaprocky ), who was one of the FNAA(footwear news) honorees last evening @ciprianiNY, along with yours truly ! I was gold (@officiallibertine and @skehers  by Martha Stewart.”

In conversation with People on the red carpet, Stewart shared how she was prepping her style for the season: “[Wear something] wearable, comfortable and indestructible. Yeah, you don’t wanna get grease stains on something, you know, that costs $5,000. So you wear something that’s washable.”

Rihanna’s partner A$AP Rocky, with whom she shares two children RZA and Riot, was awarded Collaboration of the Year for his partnership with Puma.

On the red carpet, Rihanna told E!, “I left my kids to be here. I’m super proud of their dad. That’s my baby daddy. He’s always influenced the fashion game. He’s always had a unique sense of style that designers have honed in on and actually used as inspiration for collections, and he’s never gotten the amount of credit that he deserves.”

She continued, “Being here tonight, it just feels great to see him like achieve something that we always knew that he was a part of and influenced. And I’m proud to be here by his side. And it’s a big deal.”

Stewart’s longtime friend and business collaborator Snoop Dogg made a special appearance at the event to virtually present her the Icon Award. The pair has been in collaboration with Sketchers for a long time.

Stewart has been in the news lately due to the many controversies surrounding her new Netflix documentary, Martha.
