Kim Kardashian Can’t Act, Broadway Legend Patti LaPone Says: ‘What Are You Doing With Your Life?’
Broadway legend Patti LuPone roasted celebrity star Kim Kardashian’s acting skills for the second time publicly.
In an episode of Hot Ones on September 10, LuPone promoted her new show Agatha All Along alongside her co-star, Aubrey Plaza.
Agatha All Along, a spin-off of the MCU show WandaVision, is a variation of Kathryn Hahn’s interpretation of the classic comic character Agatha Harkness, one of the world’s most powerful witches. The two-episode premiere hits Disney+ on September 18.
Hot Ones is a popular game show on which host Sean Evan interviews celebrities and other guest speakers while they eat chicken wings with increasing levels of spiciness.
As LuPone and Plaza braved the hot wings before them, LuPone sharply jabbed Kardashian’s acting debut on the sixth episode of American Horror Story: Delicate, which first aired on April 3.
In a conversation about acting, LuPone commented, “There’s just some things people can’t do, and you just gotta admit you can’t do it. That’s all… or don’t even try it.”
LuPone punctuated her point by saying, “Everyone can’t do everything—like Kim F-ing Kardashian, OK? Can we go there?”
LuPone slammed Kardashian on Watch What Happens Live in April when she cracked, “Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life?”
Kardashian never publicly responded to the comment, but she said that the opportunity to act in American Horror Story was “an honor.”
Acclaimed Broadway star LuPone has appeared in two seasons of American Horror Story, most recently season 11.
Kardashian announced in December 2023 that she is set to play a successful divorce lawyer in a new scripted series by the well-known TV writer, producer and director Ryan Murphy.
LuPone recently took on the 16-week starring role in playwright, poet and novelist Jen Silverman’s new Broadway play, The Roommate.
