Television personality and culinary icon Padma Lakshmi shared a joyous milestone in her personal life – her daughter, Krishna, graduated from middle school and her future transition to high school.

In a heartfelt social media post, Lakshmi expressed her pride in Krishna’s achievements and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the faculty and staff at the United Nations School, where Krishna attended. Krishna’s father is billionaire Michael Dell.

The Top Chef star, now 53 years old, has gracefully navigated the challenges and triumphs of motherhood with Krishna and simultaneously broadened her professional horizons. Lakshmi’s career endeavors have experienced a recent expansion with the launch of her latest collaboration—the Padma X Bare Necessities lingerie line. The collection, designed to cater to women of diverse body types, reflects Lakshmi’s journey with her own physicality.

In a candid interview, the TV personality acknowledged the changes her body has undergone over the years, like an increase in her bra size from 34C to 36DD, which has made her committed to lingerie design that provides both style and support for women with larger bust sizes. She shared, “I know that women’s bodies change and have different needs…I hope this collection makes you not only look good but feel good. I hope that my selection is versatile and makes women feel not only like they have something pretty and special on, but that it’s functional.”

Lakshmi has long been an advocate for women’s celebration of their bodies. In 2020, Lakshmi clapped back at body-shamers who criticized her for not wearing a bra in one of her cooking tutorials.

Lakshmi was born in India and immigrated to the United States as a child, where she was raised in California. She became a model before she ventured into a career in television. She is best known for her role as a host of the cooking competition show Top Chef and the food and travel series Taste the Nation.

In August 2022, Lakshmi’s ex-husband Salman Rushdie, was stabbed in Chautauqua, New York.
