Former Rep. George Santos Announces OnlyFans Account, Claims Content Won’t Be ‘Adult’

Former Rep. George Santos (R-New York), who was expelled from Congress last year, announced Wednesday he is joining OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform primarily known for adult content.

Santos, who faced numerous controversies during his brief tenure in office, initially teased followers on social media with a provocative message: “The moment you’ve all been waiting for!” He promised, “full behind the scenes access to everything I’m working on” exclusively through OnlyFans.

However, within an hour, Santos clarified that his content would not be pornographic. “Ok, y’all got your panties in a bunch… The OnlyFans is Not adult content,” he wrote, alternating between acknowledging the announcement as a publicity stunt and expressing frustration at the public’s reaction.

“I decided to go with OnlyFans because I wanted to stir the pot,” Santos added. “Folks need to stop being so sensitive…”

The move comes after Santos’ tumultuous political career ended in December when he became only the sixth member in U.S. history to be expelled from the House of Representatives. His downfall began shortly after his 2022 election, as media investigations revealed numerous fabrications in his background and campaign claims.

By May 2023, Santos faced federal charges including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and making false statements to the House. Additional charges were later added in a later indictment.

The decision to join OnlyFans marks Santos’ latest attempt to remain in the public eye following his political disgrace. While the platform is predominantly associated with adult entertainment, public figures have increasingly used it for various types of content.

Santos even revived his drag persona, Kitara Ravache, for his paid Cameo videos.

Santos’ descent into subscription-based content raises questions about his plans and how he intends to monetize his notoriety. It remains to be seen what type of “behind the scenes” material he will offer subscribers or how successful this venture will be.
