Tori Spelling Denies Accusations Of ‘Trashing’ Rental Property As Bank Tries To Collect On Unpaid $200,000 Loan
Reality star Tori Spelling forcefully denied the “totally false” and “horrific” claims made by a tabloid that she had “trashed” the rental property she was occupying with her children.
Spelling, widely recognized for her iconic role in the television series Beverly Hills 90210, claimed that while her household may be characterized by a certain degree of “messiness” and “chaos” due to the demands of her large family, she would never intentionally damage another person’s property, she said in a new episode of her podcast, misSPELLING.
Addressing the reports, Spelling expressed deep concern for these fabricated stories’ impact on her children, who are aware of the media coverage and must face their peers at school. The actress emphasized that although she may not be the “cleanest and most organized person,” she and her family “lead with their hearts” and never engage in such destructive behavior.
To further refute the allegations, Spelling invited her former landlord, Katie, onto the podcast to provide a firsthand account of the situation. Katie categorically dismissed the claims, described them as “crazy,” and affirmed that Spelling was a “great tenant” with whom she had only positive experiences. The landlord clarified that the property management regularly replaces furniture, and the reported “debris pickup” was a routine occurrence, not an indication of any misconduct.
Spelling’s stance against these “false stories” underscores her commitment to protecting her family’s reputation and well-being. The actress expressed her dismay at the “incredibly awful and hurtful” nature of the reports and stated, “I usually don’t say anything. This one, I’m like, ‘This is too much.’ This really pushed me as a mom.”
According to court documents, former celebrity couple Spelling and Dean McDermott are still embroiled in a significant financial dispute with City National Bank. The legal saga dates back to 2012, when the estranged spouses secured a $400,000 loan from the bank and agreed to repay the amount with interest.
