Rumer Willis plans to celebrate Father’s Day with her beloved father, the iconic Die Hard star Bruce Willis.

Willis shared her family’s plans to honor the 69-year-old actor as he continues his courageous battle with dementia.

“I’m sure we’ll go over there,” Willis told The New York Post. “Father’s Day is such a special one for me. And I feel like since we were little kids, you know, we’ve always done special things for our parents. Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.”

“One of the things I love most about my family is how much we all come together to celebrate on Mother’s Day,” she added. “All the girls got together at my mom’s house, and I’m sure we’ll do something similar for Father’s Day.”

Willis, the eldest daughter of Bruce and Demi Moore, has two sisters, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30, as well as two half-sisters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, who are Bruce’s daughters with his wife Emma Heming Willis. The blended family has rallied around Bruce since he was diagnosed with aphasia in March 2022, which led him to retire from acting. In February 2023, they revealed that his condition had worsened, and he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Despite the challenges, Willis assured that her dad is “doing great,” and she marveled at his beautiful connection with her daughter, Louetta, whom she welcomed last year with her partner, singer Derek Richard Thomas.

Moore, 61, has also shared her perspective on Bruce’s health, telling Good Morning America that “given the givens,” her ex-husband is “doing very well.”

“What I’ll say is what I say to my children, which is it’s important to just meet them where they’re at and not hold onto what isn’t,” she added. “Because there’s great beauty, sweetness, loving, and joy out of that.”

Hemming Willis recently took a fan to task on social media for saying Willis could “no longer experience joy.”
