In an inspiring update on her cancer journey, actress Nicole Eggert, 52, shared a heartfelt video to Instagram on Thursday that showcased her decision to shave her head as part of her treatment for breast cancer.

The video, set to the anthem of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight Your Right,” begins with Eggert smiling at the camera before picking up a pair of clippers. She proceeds to shave off her hair, capturing the process in a sped-up recording. Later Eggert’s 12-year-old daughter, Keegan, joins her and helps her mother shave the back of her head. Eggert then takes over, completing the process with a radiant smile on her face.

The video concludes with Eggert gently stroking her newly shaved head and sharing heartwarming photos of herself and her daughter embracing and beaming at the camera. The post is captioned with a quote by author Madeleine Eames, “Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are.”

Support and admiration poured in from fellow celebrities in the comments section of the post. Jennie Garth sent a heartfelt message, “Sending you a big hug ❤,” while Alyssa Milano expressed her appreciation with, “Grace. You have the most grace. It’s inspiring, and I appreciate you.”

This decision to shave her head follows Eggert’s haircut in February to embrace a shorter hairstyle.

Eggert first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in January and disclosed that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in December 2023.

As a single mother, Eggert acknowledges the financial hurdles she has encountered. To help support the costs of her medical treatment, a GoFundMe page was set up on her behalf.

“I absolutely 100% want to start a non-profit for other single parents such as myself, who don’t have any family, don’t have anybody to turn to,” she told People in January. “They take on all this by themselves because they love their kids so much, but when something happens to them, then what?”
