Brandi Mallory, a contestant on season 4 of Extreme Weight Loss, died at 40 years old. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that she died on November 9 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was found slumped over in a car in a Chipotle parking lot.

The cause of death has yet to be revealed. Her funeral is set to take place in Lithonia, Georgia, on November 19.

Mallory appeared on Extreme Weight Loss in 2014, where she completed a 70.3-mile Ironman event while also being crowned “Miss Extreme Weight Loss” after losing more than 150 pounds.

According to Mallory, the heart attack death of her sorority sister at 29 frightened her into losing weight.

“It was devastating, and she wasn’t as large as I was,” Mallory said in a 2018 interview. “She had a heart attack. I literally was waking up every day like… this may be my last day waking up, like, I don’t know what’s going to happen for me.”

After applying to and being rejected by The Biggest Loser the producers of the said show referred her to Extreme Weight Loss.

Before her death, Mallory ran a personal fitness and makeup Instagram account, where she had more than 135,000 followers.
