Why Hasn’t Melania Trump Appeared At Any Of Her Husband’s Campaign Events?

For months, Melania Trump has remained secluded in one of Mar-a-Lago’s many bedrooms, almost completely absent from the public eye.

Melania attended her husband Donald Trump’s kickoff event in November at Mar-a-Lago, but other than that, she has not appeared at his campaign events.

Trump is notably without his wife at court.

She did not come to support him at the New York courthouse when he pleaded not guilty to 34 charges related to the hush money he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels, nor was she present at the Miami courthouse, when Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 charges related to his possession of classified documents.

Trump pleaded not guilty to four charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential campaign in the Washington, D.C., courthouse, and 13 charges in the Georgia courthouse both of which Melania did not attend.

The absence of Melania has delighted Trump’s critics, who interpret it as an indication that in his quest for reelection and exoneration, he has lost the support of his most dedicated ally.

If Trump’s wife is truly disengaged, it raises the possibility that the loyalty of other die-hard supporters might also waver.

Melania’s absence has been highlighted throughout the last few months. In September, “Missing Melania” flyers appeared in Iowa, and an airplane flew over a college football game carrying a banner that asked, “Where’s Melania?”

The explanation is not mysterious: Melania spends her time isolated at Trump Tower in New York, which she is said to prefer over the club in Bedminster, New Jersey, while in Florida, she spends time alone with her son, Barron, at Mar-a-Lago.

She has been compensated for several appearances at various events – she recently received $500,000 from the Log Cabin Republicans and a conservative elections organization named Fix California.

On Halloween night, Melania and Trump were seen together for the first time in seven months at a party at their Mar-a-Lago residence.

Last week, Melania attended the funeral of the late First Lady Rosalyn Carter, where she was widely criticized for failing to wear black.
