Rihanna’s Cousin, Tanella Alleyne, Dies Suddenly At 28
Rihanna‘s cousin, Tanella Alleyne, died suddenly at 28, six years after her brother, Tavon, was killed on Boxing Day.
Tanella also lost her twin sister when they were 14.
Rihanna’s song, “Lift Me Up,” was played during the funeral service.
Alleyne’s adoptive mother, Julie-Ann Bryan, remembered her as someone who “lived a life of gratitude with an outrageous amount of attitude, sprinkled heavily with confidence. There was something special about Nella. She was bold and courageous. Our love for each other was lit.”
Following the news, fans of Rihanna and Alleyne left condolences under an Instagram post.
“This is unbelievable,” one user wrote. “Rip angel.”Another user wrote: “You were such a sweet beautiful Angel Tanella… my condolences to your friends and family.”
Rihanna recently gave birth to her second child with ASAP Rocky.
