Kim Kardashian has revealed why she removed one of her daughter North West‘s TikTok videos.

“As soon as I saw the words, I was like, ‘Oh no, we’re taking this down.’ I saw on the internet [people saying], ‘Kanye [West] was right,’ and maybe he was in that instance,” Kardashian told Time.

In March, North, 10, dressed up as Ice Spice and lip-synced the lyrics to her and PinkPantheress‘ track “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2.” TikTok users questioned the clip, saying the lyrics were not age-appropriate. Some referenced a 2022 interview on the podcast Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee where North’s father, Kanye West, said he didn’t want his daughter posting on the social media platform.

Kardashian supports North’s TikTok posts, noting, “She loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials, and I will fight for her to be creative.”

On an appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s The Goop podcast, Kardashian said her daughter could only post to TikTok using her phone and their mother-daughter joint account. She is also not allowed to scroll or look at comments.

Kardashian also recounted when they tried to use Instagram when North made an account for the family’s dogs. “It was just too much access,” Kardashian said. “That only lasted like two days.”

Kardashian shares North and her three younger children, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
