Nicole Scherzinger announced that she and Thom Evans are officially engaged. 

The singer posted on Instagram two photos of her and Evans as he proposed to her on the beach. She captioned it, “I said yes 💍♥️”

Scherzinger adorned a maxi white and blue floral dress and paired it with a white floppy sun hat and Coco Chanel pearl earrings. 

Evans wore a simple blue button-up with beige khaki shorts. He similarly posted the two photos on his Instagram and captioned it, “My Ever After 💍❤️”

The couple received many heartwarming sentiments from fans and friends. 

Rebel Wilson wrote, “Congrats Nicole!” 

“Yes yes yes so happy for you both, need a wedding singer? 😂” Sam Bailey said jokingly.

Scherzinger and Evans first met back in October 2019 when Thom was a contestant on the X Factor: Celebrity while Nicole was a judge. They officially announced their relationship publicly in January 2020 at the Golden Globes afterparty in Beverly Hills. 

Scherzinger spoke about their relationship in an interview with The Times in January 2021. She spoke about how the lockdown in COVID helped her relationship with Evans strengthen. 

The couples have often shared glimpses into their lives as a couple as they often post together on Instagram.

Evans posted two selfies of them together for Valentine’s Day in February. He captioned it, “I am so happy to have you in my life @nicolescherzinger Happy Valentine’s Day my love ❤️” 

Scherzinger similarly shared photos for Valentine’s Day of the two of them snuggling up to a teddy bear writing, “Happy Valentines Day y’all from me and my ❤️ @te11”

Scherzinger, who is from Hawaii, is best known for being the lead singer of the group The Pussycat Dolls. She also was a judge on the shows The X Factor UK and The X Factor USA. The singer has sold over 54 million records while singing with The Pussycat Dolls and more than 16 million records as an independent artist. 

Evans is originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, but is a former Scottish rugby player and model. His career in rugby ended back in 2010 after he was forced to retire after he sustained a neck injury. He competed in The X Factor: Celebrity with the group Try Star, but the group was disqualified in the semi-final.
