Drake Bell’s Wife Files For Divorce After Actor Was Reported ‘Missing & Endangered’ By Police
Janet Von Schmeling, Drake Bell‘s wife, has filed for divorce one week after Bell was reported “missing and endangered” in Florida by police and later was found safe.
The couple got married back in 2021 and announced they got hitched and had a son in a tweet. The couple separated late last year and committed to maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship.
Von Schmeling cited “irreconcilable differences” in her court filing and requested custody of their baby and spousal support.

The divorce motion was filed while the 36-year-old singer was missing in Daytona Beach, Florida. The police department announced that they were searching for him on April 13, and later in the afternoon, he was found.
This incident started when Bell’s brother, Robert, called the police department after Bell claimed he no longer wanted to live due to his child custody battle.
He then joked about the incident the next day in a deleted Twitter post that read, “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” and added a laughing emoji.
Bell has been wrapped up in many controversies throughout his career.
He first rose to fame in the 2000s with his roles on The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh. In 2020, he was accused of verbally and physically abusing his ex-girlfriend (he denies those allegations).
In 2021, he was arrested on endangerment charges and sexual misconduct of a 15-year-old. His lawyer disputed these allegations, he pleaded guilty to endangerment charges, and he was given two years probation and 200 community service hours.
He was also charged with a misdemeanor in 2016 and went to jail for a day after suspicion of DUI in 2015.
