Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is rescheduling album signings after a brutal New York City fall.

Tomlinson took to social media to explain what happened after his Saturday show at Irving Plaza.

“Thank you to everyone that’s listened to the new album so far, it means the world to me,” he started. “The show last night in New York was incredible. Unfortunately, on the way back, I’ve managed to fall and break my right arm pretty badly,” he revealed.

Alongside his note to fans, he posted X-ray images that show his bone clearly broken in multiple areas.

The “Walls” singer noted that he does have to reschedule album signing dates, but fans won’t need to wait long for the new information.

“New dates will be announced very soon,” Tomlinson promised. “Thank you for all your support and sorry for anyone who was coming next week.”

The 1D alum’s injury comes just after the Nov. 11 release of his second solo album, Faith In The Future.

Tomlinson told Rolling Stone that he wanted this album to be musically broad, and he’s more comfortable with experimentation these days. “On this record, I’m just in a more confident place,” Tomlinson explained, “so I’m willing to be braver and do things like that. Or at least what feels braver to me.”

Despite his injuries, Tomlinson seems to be staying positive and grateful. He added on Twitter later, “The support for Faith in the Future has been incredible!! Easing the pain of my broken arm haha!”

Signings in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow have all been postponed. As of now, Tomlinson is still planning to go ahead with his Nov. 18 album-release show at London’s O2 Shephard’s Bush Empire.

Tomlinson’s Faith In The Future world tour will kick off at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on May 26, 2023. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
