On Saturday, talk show host Kelly Ripa and actor Mark Consuelos stopped by the University of Michigan campus to celebrate their son’s big wrestling championship win.

Last March, 19-year-old Joaquin Consuelos and his team won the 2022 Big Ten championship, and they were honored over the weekend with a highlight reel. The team also got to wear and enjoy their new championship rings.

Kelly took to Instagram to celebrate the exciting occasion. She posted a photo of her, Mark and Joaquin smiling together, and her son showed off his ring for the camera. “Big day at the Big House!” Kelly captioned the photo. “Go BLUE 💙💛 #team100 #bigtenchamps #wrestling.”

Mark also showed his support for Joaquin online, posting an Instagram Story of him and his son with the special ring. “Team 100 Big 10 champs,” the actor wrote.

University of Michigan Wrestling shared a wholesome photo of Kelly taking a picture of Joaquin with his ring. “Good food and company at our annual football tailgate. Handed out some B 1 G rings,” the caption read.

Kelly and Mark joked about their lack of rugby knowledge back in February on Live With Kelly and Ryan. Mark admitted on the show, “I don’t know what they’re doing; I have no idea what they’re doing.”

Kelly quipped, “We’re such good wrestling parents that we just say whatever the parents sitting by us are saying.”

Though Mark and Kelly are empty-nesters these days, they still seem to have very close relationships with all three of their children. In August, Kelly posted a photo of their kids on Instagram, and she captioned it, “It sure was nice having the chickens back in the nest for a couple of weeks. Back to life….back to reality ❤️❤️❤️🥺#summer#vibes.”

Mark chimed in in the comments. “Love those chickens,” he wrote.
