Authorities are now investigating what may have caused the tragic accident. They have stated that the boat’s captain returned a negative sobriety test at the scene, and they don’t suspect any other criminality to be behind this incident.

The 24-foot Yamaha AR-240 jet boat was not moving above its max capacity at the time of the accident either.
