Vanessa Hudgens Looks Ravishing In Royal Blue At 2022 MTV Awards
Actress Vanessa Hudgens and queen of the red carpet did not disappoint at this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. She graced the Barker Hanger with yet-another iconic look, this time clad in a head-turning royal blue mini dress.
The jewel-toned outfit was a custom Vera Wang design that featured a billowing train that commanded attention as it flowed behind Hudgens while she stopped for pictures.
The short dress was made in a flowy translucent fabric that was perfect for a summer red carpet event. Its asymmetry, raw edges, and off-the-shoulder cut made Hudgens look nothing short of a modern-day goddess.
This resemblance was only further accentuated by her choice of jewelry and footwear. On her ears, Hudgens wore thick silver hoop earrings and stacked geometric rings on her fingers. She also wore silver metallic platform sandals that matched her silver-painted toenails and pulled the look together.
Hudgens wore her hair in a slicked-back bun that allowed attention to be drawn to her equally stunning makeup look by celebrity makeup artist Tonya Brewer.
Most of the drama was in Hudgens’ eyes: a bold fox eye eyeliner paired with sparkly blue eyeshadow in hues that matched her dress resulted in an otherworldly makeup look. The intensity of Hudgens’ eye makeup was balanced out by a simple nude lip and glowy highlighter.
GET THE LOOK: Flowy fabrics and breezy cuts like in Hudgens’ outfit are all the rage in summer. Cult Gaia, a brand specializing in resort and beachwear, carries a wide selection of dresses that resemble Hudgens’ own from figure-hugging knit to linen cut-outs.
Sandals are also back in, and you can opt for a similarly glamorous pair from Jeffrey Campbell for $240.
RECREATE THE MAKEUP LOOK: Brewer, Hudgens’ makeup artist, included a list of the products she used to create the actress’ vibrant makeup look in an Instagram post.
Included is the Mothership I: Subliminal eyeshadow palette by Pat McGrath Labs, which includes a mix of glimmering jewel tones as well as grounded neutrals.
