Andrew Garfield & Girlfriend Alyssa Miller Attend SAG Awards As A Couple
Andrew Garfield and his girlfriend Alyssa Miller made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 SAG Awards in Los Angeles. Garfield was nominated for an award for playing the composer and playwright Jonathan Larson in the Netflix adaptation of Tick, Tick…Boom!
Garfield learned how to sing and play piano specifically for this role in Tick, Tick…Boom! His performance was acclaimed as an actor and singer, especially given the surprise that Garfield wasn’t known as a musical talent at the time.
While he lost the award to King Richard‘s Will Smith, Garfield and Miller were all smiles at the ceremony and looked absolutely great together. The pair wore well-coordinated black suits, with Garfield’s featuring a sparkly silver trim and black buttoned shirt underneath. Miller went with a ruffled button-down white shirt underneath. Miller Garfield’s stylist, Warren Alfie Baker, said the look was Beatles inspired after he and Garfield “had both watched the Get Back documentary and had become a bit obsessed by it.”
Miller and Garfield were first spotted together in November 2021 and have been seen going on dates on both the east and west coasts. Garfield became notoriously private about his relationships after he had a highly-publicized relationship and breakup with Emma Stone in 2015.
“For my work, I’m fine with it,” Garfield told Bustle in 2021, “but otherwise I fight for my right for a private, personal life. My right to be ordinary. My right to be a mess. My right to be sorrowful.”
Garfield has been romantically linked to actresses such as Susie Abromeit, Rita Ora and Aisling Bea since his split from Stone. Stone married Dave McCary, a former Saturday Night Live director, in 2020, and the couple has one child.
