After Kanye West posted a statement critical of their daughter North West being allowed to post Tik Toks on a joint account, Kim Kardashian has released a rare public response to the rapper amid their divorce which she filed for a year ago in Feb 2021.

“SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL,” West wrote in an Instagram post early Friday. He has not been holding back from making public comments about Kardashian and even claimed last month that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was preventing him from seeing their kids, but he has been seen with them since.

Kardashian issued a rebuttal to West’s criticism in a lengthy statement shared on her Instagram account’s Story. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” Kardashian began, holding nothing back from the very start. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity… with adult supervision.”

She accused West of having an “obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly,” and that it is exaggerating the already painful divorce process for her and their children. “From the beginning, I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship,” Kardashian added, “and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.”

Kardashian ended her response by expressing the hope that they can move forward with their process privately. She did finish with a jab at her ex, though, saying, “hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.”
