Britney Spears took to Instagram to celebrate her life now that her conservatorship is over. She gave fans some insight to her future plans and teased a possible interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Spears shared that under her conservatorship she wasn’t able to perform simple tasks for herself, such as driving a car or using cash.

“I’m just grateful for each day being able to have the keys to my car, being able to be independent and feel like a woman, and owning [an] ATM card, seeing cash for the first time, [and] being able to buy candles,” she said.

Spears said that she plans to advocate for others stuck within conservatorships, especially those with disabilities.

“I’m here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities and real illnesses,” she explained. “I’m a very strong woman, so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people. So hopefully, my story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system.”

Spears also wrote a message for her family on the post.

“Honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me,” she wrote. “I’m used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut … but not this time … I have NOT FORGOTTEN!!!!”

Spears finished her message by wishing her fans a happy rest of the year and thanking them again for helping her escape her situation.
