William Shatner Slams George Takei As Feud Continues
The long-standing feud between Star Trek actors William Shatner and George Takei is showing no signs of slowing down as both men took swipes at each other over Twitter in the last week.
Shatner recently entered space via a Blue Origin spacecraft and became the oldest man to enter space at 90 years old.
Takei wasn’t impressed with the achievement, stating that Shatner is “boldly going where other people have gone before.” He also said that Shatner was a guinea pig for examining how space impacts a 90-year-old man.
Shatner responded to the comments on Twitter stating that the only press Takei gets is when he criticizes him and claims that he is angry because he stole a camera angle from him over 50 years ago.
The feud between the two actors has been going on for years. It is believed to have been started because of comments Takei made in his 1994 memoir, To The Stars, where he claimed that Shatner was disrespectful towards him on set.
The two have taken shots at each other in interviews over the years, and most recently on social media.
Despite the fact that Shatner and Takei are 90 and 84 respectively, the feud doesn’t seem as if it will be ending anytime soon.
