After initial reports over the weekend that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ended their relationship, the celebrity couple denied those claims.

Less than 24-hours after the news of their split hit, JLo and A Rod released a joint statement that they are staying together. “We are working through some things,” they said in a statement.

“All the reports are inaccurate,” the couple told TMZ.

The news of their breakup was first reported by Page Six on March 12.

The 51-year-old singer and actress is currently in the Dominican Republic filming the movie Shotgun.  The former Yankees star was recently seen solo in Miami, but the couple was recently together in Washington, D.C. for JLo’s performance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

The couple got engaged in March 2019 after dating for two years. They also spent most of 2020 in quarantine with their blended family. Lopez’s 13-year-old twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and Rodriguez’s teenage daughters with former wife Cynthia Scurtis.

While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April 2020, Lopez revealed on how the pandemic impacted her wedding plans. “Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates or anything,” she said. “We’re kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world.”
