Actress Cameron Diaz announced the release of her new wine brand called Avaline. Diaz founded the company alongside entrepreneur Katherine Power, who is the founder of Who What Wear and Versed Skincare.

Diaz, who has been on a long break from acting, gave this announcement on her Instagram with a photo of her and Power. She wrote, “Introducing @avaline! 🌟 It all started two years ago on a beautiful Los Angeles afternoon in the backyard with @katherinepower. We realized that we knew the contents of everything that went onto and into our bodies—why not wine? Our journey to answer that question led us to create @avaline, a range of clean wines.”

Avaline’s goal is to create “a new standard” in the wine industry for companies to be more transparent in the ingredients that are used. Diaz said in a statement, “I enjoyed wine for many-a-year and never questioned it. … But I had no idea of the process. We soon learned it wasn’t what you added, it’s what you didn’t add.” Avaline wines are made with organic grapes and do not include unnecessary additives.

With each bottle costing $24, Avaline has come out with two collections of wine for the summer. The first is called Avaline White, a dry Spanish wine, and the second is Avaline Rosé, made with hints of melon and zest.

The two have been active on the Avaline Instagram page by highlighting the organic nature of their product. Last week, a photo of Avaline Rosé was published with a caption that read, “When wine is naturally this delicious, there’s nothing to hide— Organic grapes. No colors, concentrates or sugars. Oh, and it’s vegan friendly.”

Avaline emphasized this importance by posting, “We know that what goes into your body matters, that’s why we work with vineyards that have been farming organically for decades.”
