Apple CEO Tim Cook Changes Twitter Name To “Tim Apple” After Donald Trump Gaffe
Apple CEO Tim Cook changed his Twitter name to Tim Apple (apple emoji) after a meeting with President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
During a meeting at the White House, Trump mistakenly called the CEO “Tim Apple.” “You’ve really put a big investment in our country,” Trump told Cook. “We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”
Cook didn’t register the mistake at all, and Trump continued with his speech unabated. Yet, social media recognized the slip-up and Twitter reacted in response. Hundreds of tweets poking fun at the mishap or asking Cook to change his name were created.
