First lady Melania Trump will not be attending the G7 Summit in Quebec with President Donald Trump, as well as the highly anticipated summit between the United States and North Korea in Singapore.

The first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, has shared that Melania has been keeping busy with staff meetings and working on upcoming projects. She is also scheduled to join Trump today in hosting a reception for Gold Star families, which was closed off from the press.

However, as for the G7 summit, she will be skipping out on the event this year. “She will not attend the G7 and there are no plans for her to travel to Singapore at this time,” Grisham said.

Last year’s G7 was when she made her international debut in Taormina, Italy. Melania, as well as other spouses of G7 leaders, participated in public appearances throughout the event. She also had a formal dinner and a performance by La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra at the Ancient Theater of Taormina.

She will also not be travelling to Singapore on June 12 to see the historic meeting between her husband and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. This will be the first summit between the two countries who are still formally at war.

Ever since her kidney surgery in May, Melania has been kept out of the public eye. She also stayed behind this past weekend when the rest of her family went to the Camp David retreat, a secluded presidential retreat an hour outside of the country’s capital.
