Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman recently suffered an asthma attack while on hit reality show Celebrity Big Brother.

OMAROSA SUFFERS ASTHMA ATTACK ON BIG BROTHER

On Sunday’s episode, the show featured a challenge in which Omarosa had to wear a tutu, spin around 11 times and then knock pins over with a ball. The movements left the reality-star-turned-White-House-aide-turned-reality-star unable to breathe, as her asthma was exacerbated. She left the house seeking medical attention.

“I couldn’t breathe,” she later said in the diary room after grabbing her inhaler. “It was really difficult to breathe. I knew I was in trouble with my asthma.”

Omarosa was seen banging on a door and calling for medical help as the show cut to commercial. When it returned, she was gone and the other houseguests got a note saying she was in the hospital and would be back soon.

A CBS spokesperson spoke with TheWrap on Saturday and assured that everything would be explained on Sunday’s episode of the show: “Omarosa has returned to the Celebrity Big Brother house after receiving medical attention last night and today for an asthma attack. This development will be addressed on the Sunday night broadcast.”

“We were able to get my asthma under control,” Omarosa said when she returned on Sunday’s episode. “It was a really scary experience. Thank God I am back in the game.”

The show’s host, Julie Chen, weighed in after the fact, saying that she thought Omarosa was acting the issue up a bit for the sake of the game. “For me, I was really hoping Omarosa was exaggerating her need for medical attention so she could get back in the game. I mean, Christmas [from last season] went back in after a broken foot,” Chen said. “My suspicion was that although Omarosa truly had an asthma attack, she played up the severity of it after it passed, to milk it for drama, attention, sympathy, and safety from eviction.”
