Diane Keaton Defends Woody Allen On Twitter
Diane Keaton took to Twitter yesterday to defend Woody Allen in the midst of sexual assault allegations made against him by his adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow.
“Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him,” Keaton tweeted Monday night, along with a 60 Minute interview. “It might be of interest to take a look at the 60 Minute interview from 1992 and see what you think.”

Keaton’s tweet received backlash from various Twitter users.
You really jumped out the window on this one

But others rushed to Keaton’s defense, citing their experience with Allen and his character.
I’m with @Diane_Keaton on this. I am friends w/close friends of Woody’s, who have given me very good reason to believe his denials, and to disbelieve the accusations of Ms. Farrow’s. Still, this is a lose-lose issue. So much emotion and anger.

Leave Diane Keaton alone. She has a right to think whatever and say whatever she likes. Anyone who has the guts to stand up to all of you has my respect. You can’t just shut anyone down who disagrees with you.

Farrow first accused Allen of sexual assault in 1993, at the age of seven. A few weeks ago, she reasserted her account of his abuse on CBS This Morning, which he denied.
“I never molested my daughter – as all investigations concluded a quarter of a century ago,” he said to CBS This Morning.
Despite his denial, actors Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Hall and Griffin Newman, who all worked on Allen’s latest movie A Rainy Day in New York, each announced that they would donate their salaries from the film.
