Rumors circulated over the weekend that Lana Del Rey that was being sued by the Oxfordshire rock band Radiohead. The Sun initially reported the news, and the singer herself acknowledged its validity on Sunday.

LANA DEL REY SUED BY RADIOHEAD

According to Radiohead, Del Rey’s 2017 song “Get Free” imitates their 1993 hit “Creep.” On Sunday, Del Rey took to Twitter to confirm that she is currently in legal proceedings with Radiohead:

Radiohead is demanding 100 percent of the royalties for the perceived similarities between the two songs, whereas Del Rey, who insists her song “wasn’t inspired by ‘Creep,'” offered only as much as 40 percent. This issue will need to be settled in court.

“Get Free” is included as the final song in Del Rey’s latest album, Lust for Life. Released back in July 21, 2017, it quickly became the best-selling album upon its launch.
