FAT SHARK 101 KIT REVIEW
One Fat Shark 101 kit costs $249, and it comes fully loaded with the following assets:
- Shark Quad
- Recon FPV goggles + headstrap and antenna
- Fat Shark Radio
- Two batteries + USB charger
- Two spare motors + four spare propellers
- Quick start guide
- Two gates + gate holders
- Lens cloth
- Radio USB cable
Given the list of accessories, the Fat Shark 101 is an excellent choice for those who want to learn to control drones. Everything needed comes in the package, and the initialization process has been streamlined to be accommodating to newcomers.
You’ll also obtain a free digital copy of Drone Racing League Simulator, which itself retails for $19.99. Connecting the controller to your computer through the enclosed USB cable will allow you to start playing. Three months of Academy of a Model Aeronautics (AMA) membership, which also includes insurance, are included, as are free demonstration videos aimed towards teaching newbie drone pilots.
Fat Shark’s drones come with three different settings – beginner, intermediate and pro – that are tailored for users of those skill levels – those who’re more advanced with drones are still accounted for. However, a GPS is not included in the drone’s feature set.
