Heather Locklear Reportedly Hospitalized After Driving Porsche Into A Ditch

Heather Locklear has reportedly been hospitalized after she crashed her Porsche.

According to TMZ, the 55-year-old actress crashed her car into a ditch outside of Los Angeles around 9 p.m. Thursday night. She was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Locklear was not cited for driving under the influence, and is now home recovering. She posted a photo of flowers on her Instagram page with the caption, “I’m home and good. Thank you for your concern!💋.”

In Sept. 2008, Locklear was arrested for driving under the influence, but the district attorney let her off, saying it was a reaction to her prescription anxiety and depression medication. In 2012, she was hospitalized after her sister reported that the actress was mixing prescription drugs and alcohol, and was released after one day.

In January 2017, Locklear shut down rumors that she had entered rehab for the fifth time in her life. “I am feeling great and am taking steps to enrich and better my life,” she said in a statement. “Currently I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead.”

The actress made her first public appearance in over a year last weekend, when she attended the Farrah Fawcett Foundation’s Tex-Mex Fiesta gala. Her most recent TV appearance was on sitcom Fresh Off the Boat. She made a name for herself by starring in Melrose Place in the early 1990s.
