And so the Kathy Griffin saga continues. The TV personality and comic has reportedly been questioned by the Secret Service about her recent photo holding the fake severed head of Donald Trump.

KATHY GRIFFIN INTERVIEWED BY SECRET SERVICE

Griffin was interviewed for over an hour, according to New York Magazine‘s Yashar Ali. The 56-year-old faced immediate backlash, from both sides of the aisle, after posting the graphic image. Initially, Griffin defended the picture as “art,” before issuing a public apology.

“I sincerely apologize. I’m just now seeing the reaction of these images. I’m a comic; I cross the line… The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it,” she said in a video. “I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far. I made a mistake and I was wrong.”

The comedian broke down during a press conference, saying the president and his family were out to get her. “What’s happening to me has never happened ever in the history of this great country, which is that a sitting President of the United States and his grown children and the First Lady are personally, I feel, personally trying to ruin my life forever, forever,” she said. “You guys know him. He’s never going to stop.”

Griffin’s reps have not commented on the current status of the investigation, but at that time, her lawyers confirmed that she planned to “fully cooperate” with the Secret Service.
