THE VOICE: TOP 10 REVEALED
Host Carson Daly announced throughout the night which singers were voted through by America. The first two through were Lauren Duski for Team Blake Shelton and Jesse Larson for Team Adam Levine.
Team Alicia Keys followed up with a soulful rendition of “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” with Vanessa Ferguson, Stephanie Rice, and Keys herself. The next two through to the Top 10 were Chris Blue on Team Alicia and Brennley Brown for Team Gwen Stefani.
Brown, Stefani, and Hunter Plake got on stage and belted out “Fix You” by Coldplay.
The next artists to advance were Team Blake’s Aliyah Moulden and Team Adam’s Lilli Passero. Then we saw season 10 winner Alisan Porter debut her new single “Deep Water.” Her EP is expected for release this summer.
Next to be saved were Team Alicia’s Vanessa Ferguson, Team Gwen’s Hunter Plake, and Team Blake’s TSoul. This left Team Adam’s Mark Isaiah and Team Alicia’s Stephanie Rice to sing for their lives. Rice sang first, with “Issues” by Julia Michaels, followed by Isaiah singing “7 Years” by Lucas Graham.
“You are a producer, you are a musician, you play multiple instruments, you are a writer, you are exactly what an artist is supposed to be,” Keys said of Rice. Levine urged votes for his singer Isaiah, despite a few faults in his voice during the song. In the end, Isaiah got the save and Rice was sent home.
