Beyonce will not perform at Coachella this year as was previously scheduled due to her pregnancy, but will headline at the festival in 2018.

BEYONCE PULLS OUT OF COACHELLA LINEUP

Beyonce recently announced she is pregnant with twins, and has decided to forgo her Coachella performance in April. In a statement, the singer’s reps broke the news, and said Beyonce was under doctors’ orders to keep a less demanding schedule.

“Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival,” the statement read. “However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”

Understandably, fans are upset at the news, many of whom bought tickets solely to see Bey. Others were not so surprised given her pregnancy.

It is unclear as of yet which act will take over in her role. Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are the other two scheduled headliners for the two-weekend festival. The former will perform April 14 and 21, the latter on April 16 and 23.

Beyonce was originally set to perform April 15 and 22, and it would have been her first time at the festival. She would have been the first female act to headline the California festival since Bjork in 2007.
