Lady Gaga‘s incredible performance for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show on Sunday night was designed by Donatella Versace for Atelier Versace while collaborating with her personal stylist, Brandon Maxwell.

Versace and Gaga are very close friends. The singer even wrote a song on her album ARTPOP  in honor of Versace. Indeed, Gaga may play the role of Versace in the third season of American Crime Story.

Versace posted a picture of her friend before the long-awaited show on her instagram account, with a caption accompanying the picture that reads: “Backstage with @ladygaga just before she hits the stage ! #halftimeshow #SB51 #PepsiHalfTime.”

To start her performance, Lady Gaga wore a bodice with sculptural shoulders entirely covered with Swarovski crystals and matching high-heeled boots. Then, to interpret her tune Just Dance,” the singer donned a gold jacket with shoulder pads. Finally, Gaga’s last song was a nod to the world of football, sporting a fully embroidered shorty and a white jacket that recalled player’s uniforms.
