Liam Neeson Does Terrifying Job Auditioning For Mall Santa On ‘The Late Show’

Liam Neeson did a mock interview for the position of mall Santa Claus on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and channeled his inner Bryan Mills.

Reciting the lyrics to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” Neeson took on Mills, his intense character from Taken. “I see you when you’re sleeping,” he said without a smile, looking dead into the camera. “I know when you’re awake.”

“Ok that’s good,” said the off-screen director. “Let’s try it again, maybe a little more jolly. Think Santa.”

Neeson repeated a few times, this time with a forced smile. “If you don’t mind my saying I think that’s right, you know. Do you understand what Santa’s saying here?” Neeson asked. “He’s making a list…naughty, nice, he’s detailed, he’s single-minded, he’s an eye-in-the-sky bringing swift judgement.”

“Ok but he’s also bringing toys to children,” pleaded the director.

“Not the naughty ones.” Neeson 1, director 0.

He finished up with his iconic Taken line, “I will look for him, I will find him, and I will kill him,” when speaking of “the reindeer that ran over grandma.”
