Comedy Central held the Roast of Rob Lowe over the weekend, which will air on Labor Day. Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter was one of nine celebrities invited to roast Lowe, but ended up taking the brunt of the comedic hits.

ANN COULTER HIT THE HARDEST AT ROAST OF ROB LOWE

Lowe barely survived his first roast, which was led by “Roastmaster” David Spade. Nothing was left untouched in the roast, including Lowe’s infamous sex tape with a 16-year-old, his seemingly unchanging age and looks, and his countless failed TV series.

“Rob looks great for his age. Many people have wondered if he’s had any plastic surgery,” joked Spade. “Those same people have wondered if Caitlyn Jenner has had any plastic surgery.”

Lowe said his favorite of the roasters was Jewel. “I thought Jewel crushed,” Lowe admitted. “I don’t do this for a living, Jewel doesn’t do it for a living… so I was really, I was blown away with Jewel.”

Among others present were retired NFL star Peyton Manning, SNL cast member Pete Davidson, and ex-Karate Kid Ralph Macchio. Thrown into the mix was Coulter, who was there mainly to promote her new book In Trump We Trust. The majority of the panel, however, was composed of liberal anti-Trump celebrities. Therefore, many jokes became aimed at Coulter.

Manning’s jab was the least offensive of all: “I’m not the only athlete up here. As you know earlier this year, Ann Coulter won the Kentucky Derby.”

“Ann, you’re awful,” comedienne Nikki Glaser said point blank. “The only person you will ever make happy is the Mexican who digs your grave.”

“As a feminist, I can’t support everything that’s been said tonight,” said Jewel. “But as someone who hates Ann Coulter, I’m delighted.”

Coulter did a fair job of letting the hits roll off her back, noting it seemed like the evening was really a roast of her, and just featured Lowe in the background.

Lowe’s commented that he felt none of the jokes were out of line. “If you’re in the NFL, hit hard. This is the NFL, you’re here to hit,” said the actor. “There are other places to do soft jokes … if you’re on the Comedy Central Roast, you better bring your A-game.”

And in appropriate fashion, when asked if he’ll be speaking with his roasters any time soon, Lowe responded with a single word: “Never.”
