Cindy Crawford’s Daughter Kaia Gerber Channels Her Mother On Debut POP Magazine Cover

Kaia Gerber, the 14-year-old daughter of former supermodel Cindy Crawford, has graced the latest cover of fashion magazine POP — which was released on Friday.

Gerber, who is signed with IMG Models, got her big break earlier this year with her first campaign for upcoming clothing and jewelry brand Chrome Hearts.

Following her success with Chrome Hearts, Gerber has starred in many photoshoots shot by fashion’s top photographers; including Mario Testino, as she graced the cover of Vogue Paris alongside her mother, as well as ad campaigns working with Miu Miu and Alexander Wang.

In the September issue of her solo POP cover, Gerber is interviewed by Misty Heath, the daughter of POP’s editor-in-chief. Gerber opened up to Heath about her dreams of modeling and how fast she seems to be moving up in the industry.

“It’s not like I never dreamed it could happen because it’s really all I dreamed about,” Gerber said. “But I never thought it’d happen this early. It didn’t hit me until Mom and I got the French Vogue cover – even after that I was like, ‘wait is this really happening?’ I’m still kind of shocked.”

The photos of Gerber in the issue were styled by Charlotte Collet and photographed by Charlotte Wales — as they highlight her natural beauty by using minimal makeup and loose hair.

The rising model dons pieces from Chanel’s AW16 collection, and bears an uncanny resemblance to her mother when she modeled in her early days.

“When people ask me about my daughter, I feel like I could guide her in the right direction because I was able to navigate it,” Crawford told Evening Standard back in 2014, regarding Gerber’s blossoming model career. “You can, it is doable.”
