Neil Young Performs With Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Neil Young’ For Environmental Message

Jimmy Fallon suited up once again as Neil Young on Tuesday night’s Tonight Show,

Along with the real Neil Young, the two preform an original Two Neil Youngs On a Tree Stump. Young guest starred on Tuesday’s episode to promote his new “live” album, Earth. The new project tackles concerns about the environment which are reflected in the playful-yet-serious performance.

The duo sang:

“Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump/ Where did the other Neil come from?/ Came from the future back to the past to warn your ass,” the Youngs sang atop a rotating tree stump. “We’re two Neil Youngs/ Sitting on a tree stump/ Used to be a tree trunk/ But look at what we’ve done/ Said the father to the son/ The leaves on the trees had to leave and the air that we breathe is gone.”
