Ashley Graham Wore Michael Kors To CFDA Awards

Ashley Graham was the picture of glamour on the red carpet for the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom Monday night.

Graham hit the red carpet yesterday in a black form-fitting Michael Kors gown with a modest slit. The dress, which was cinched at the waist, was paired with black strappy sandals and silver statement earrings.

Graham captioned a picture of herself posing for the cameras, “#CFDAawards are in full effect! Thank you @michaelkors for dressing me! ?.”

During the night, Graham got a chance to hang out with Beyonce. “It might be a little blurry, but Bey and I just had a moment!! #dreamcometrue #beyonce #cfdaawards ???,” she captioned a picture with the singer.

Beyonce, incidentally, received the fashion icon award at this year’s CFDAs. In her acceptance speech, she took a moment to thank her mom, Tina Knowles, her first-ever stylist.

“Starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels didn’t really want to dress four black country curvy girls, and we couldn’t afford designer dresses and couture. My mother was rejected from every showroom in New York. But like my grandmother, she used her talent and her creativity to give her children their dreams,” Beyonce said. “My mother and my uncle, God rest his soul, made all of our first costumes, individually sewing hundreds of crystals and pearls, putting so much passion and love into every small detail. When I wore these clothes, I felt like Khaleesi. I had an extra suit of armor. It was so much deeper than any brand name.”
