Dick Van Dyke, the beloved song and dance man, brought in his 90th birthday with the help of a flash mob.

Dick Van Dyke Turns 90

Van Dyke watched on from above as a flash mob got together at The Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday to sing and dance to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” The men, women and children were all dressed up like chimney sweeps for the performance, as they channeled Van Dyke’s Mary Poppins character Bert.

Afterwards, Van Dyke, an official Disney Legend, joined the enthusiastic group in singing “Let’s Go “Fly a Kite.”

On Sunday, Van Dyke’s official birthday, his celebrations continued at Disneyland. After he was serenaded by a rendition of “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” he took over the vocals on “Jolly Holliday.” While he was brought through Main Street U.S.A. with his wife Arlene, fans sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

Last month Van Dyke opened up about his secrets to staying youthful. His number one tip? “Keep moving.” He also suggested having more fun.

“Don’t do anything that isn’t fun,” Van Dyke told CNN, adding, “I may have reached that point in life where I don’t have to do anything that isn’t fun.”

Fun for Van Dyke includes having a good amount of sugar in his diet.

“I said when I was a kid, ‘When I grow up, I’m going to eat all of the ice cream and candy I can.’ And I have,” he revealed. “I eat ice cream every day. And my blood sugar level is fine. I think that’s because I burn it off, probably.”
