Joey Feek Poses For Pictures With Daughter While She Remains In Hospice Care

Joey Feek, who is in hospice care due to Stage IV cervical cancer, has been taking pictures with her 1-year-old daughter Indiana.

“The mail lady delivered big smiles to us today,” Rory Feek, Joey’s husband and the other half of country singing duo Joey + Rory, captioned a Facebook picture with Joey, Indiana and a friend. “Hand-sewn hats, made with love.”

Last Sunday, Rory shared a picture of Joey, Indiana and his teenage daughters from a previous relationship – Heidi and Hopie – embracing each other. “…our girls drove up here last night to spend more time with their mom and baby sister,” Rory captioned the touching picture.

Late last month, Joey made the decision to stop cancer treatment after surgery and chemotherapy failed to stop her cancerous tumors from growing. Instead of continuing treatment, Joey has chosen to spend the rest of her time at home with her family. Rory revealed in a recent update on his blog, This Life I Live, that Joey’s tumors were continuing to grow and that she would be entering hospice care.

“Hospice is arranged and a hospital bed will be delivered later this morning,” Rory wrote. “We’ll have a play area on the carpet nearby – close enough for her to watch Indy play, and for Indy to turn and make sure her mama can see her.”
