Johnny Fratto, who was a regular on The Howard Stern Show, died early Thursday morning. He was 61.

Fratto passed away following a battle with lung cancer at 12:06 AM in Los Angeles yesterday, surrounded by family, his wife Ivanka confirmed.

During his career in entertainment, Fratto became best known for his appearances on The Howard Stern Show. Howard Stern took to Twitter Thursday to pay tribute to his former coworker and pal. “RIP Johnny Fratto,” he wrote. “You know what to do, you know what to do.”

Through his appearances on The Howard Stern Show, Fratto met fellow regular Eric “The Actor” Lynch. The two became fast friends, and Fratto ultimately took on the job of Lynch’s manager.

Fratto’s other pursuits included owning the Beverly Hills Choppers motorcycle company. He also dabbled in film and TV.

Fratto was the son of famous Midwest mob boss Louis Fratto, who was a major player in the Chicago and Des Moines, Iowa, scenes from the 1930s until his death in 1967.

Fratto is survived by his wife and son.
