‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Nene Leakes Makes Surprise Return

After leaving Bravo’s hit television show Real Housewives of Atlanta last season, Nene Leakes is making a surprise visit back to the show for season eight.

Nene Leakes Returns To ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’

Within four months of Leakes announcing that she was leaving the show for other gigs creating a huge uproar from the Housewives community, the reality star is back filming episodes of the new season. She will be traveling to Jamaica to join the other housewives unannounced. “Everything went down last night. We’re still here shooting,” says a source to E! News, “Nene shot a couple of scenes in Atlanta last week, but none of the other women knew, and only a select number of production crew knew it was happening.” It is not confirmed how many episodes Leakes will appear in during the upcoming season.

Leakes has pursued other ventures since leaving the show including being a panelist on the revived game show To Tell the Truth with Betty White. She also accepted a role on Broadway in the revival of Chicago as Matron “Mama” Morton which will begin Nov. 23.

Real Housewives of Atlanta will return to Bravo on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.
