Shania Twain Cancels Farewell Tour Dates Due To Infection
Country singer Shania Twain has been forced to cancel some upcoming tour dates on her farewell Rock The Country tour due to a respiratory infection. The announcement was posted on her official Facebook page to update fans on her status of the infection.
Effected dates included Tuesday’s Manchester, N.H., and Wednesday’s Albany, N.Y., concerts with the tour resuming on Oct. 9 in Quebec City. “Shania Twain’s doctors have advised her to rest for several days after she was diagnosed with a respiratory infection,” said the post on Facebook.
Announced back in March, the Rock The Country tour is the first tour Twain has launched since 2004 and after a Las Vegas residency show called Still The One she did at Caesars Palace for two years. She wanted this tour to be a “celebration tour” and said, “I feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”
