Josh Duggar has entered a rehabilitation facility after he was revealed to have paid for two accounts on the Ashley Madison website in an effort to cheat on his wife, Anna Duggar.

A week after Josh Duggar admitted that the reports about his Ashley Madison accounts were accurate and that he’d also been battling a porn addiction, the Duggar family has revealed that he’s entered a “long-term treatment” center to deal with his issues.
“We are so thankful for the outpouring of love, care and prayers for our family during this most difficult situation with Josh. As parents we are so deeply grieved by our son’s decisions and actions,” reads the statement from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. “His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear.”
“Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery,” the statement went on. “We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change. In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God—He is our rock and comfort.”
It was reported earlier this month that Duggar had paid nearly $1,000 for two separate Ashley Madison accounts over the course of a few years. One of the charges on his credit card was in the amount of $250 for an Ashley Madison “affair guarantee.” After the story broke about his account, Josh Duggar released a statement of admission.
“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” Duggar said in his original statement.
Back in May, around the time that Duggar closed his second Ashley Madison account, he was embroiled in a child molestation scandal. Reports came out that revealed that Duggar, as a teen, had allegedly sexually assaulted a number of young girls. Duggar’s sisters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard were among the victims.
When the Duggars were made aware of their son’s behaviors, they sent him off on his first stint in rehab. At 15, Josh entered the faith-based Institute of Basic Life Principles Training Center where he endured “hard physical work” and “lust counseling.” The credibility of the center and its counselors has been called into question by outsiders – including Child Protective Services.
As a result of the exposed child molestation scandal, Josh lost his position at the Family Research Council and TLC canceled 19 Kids & Counting.
