Chelsea O’Donnell Leaves Rosie O’Donnell’s House To Live With Birth Mom
Chelsea O’Donnell, Rosie O’Donnell‘s eldest adopted daughter, has decided to go live with her biological mother.
Chelsea O’Donnell Moves Out
Upon turning 18-years-old Monday, Chelsea went to live with her birth mom, Deanna Micoley, who gave her up for adoption when she was seven months old. Micoley reportedly drove from Wisconsin to pick Chelsea up at the home she shares with O’Donnell and her siblings.
Chelsea’s decision was confirmed by O’Donnell’s spokesperson Cindi Berger.
“Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother,” Berger said. “This was her choice.”
Chelsea’s decision to move out to Wisconsin with Micoley comes just a week after she was found at the home of 25-year-old Steven Sheerer in New Jersey. O’Donnell had revealed that Chelsea had been missing for several days with her dog, and that she was without her medication. It was later revealed that Chelsea suffers from an undisclosed mental illness.
After Chelsea was returned to her, O’Donnell handed police over her cell phone so that they could investigate Chelsea’s relationship to Sheerer. He was subsequently brought up on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and distribution of obscenity after “evidence of inappropriate communications” was discovered. He is facing up to 10 years in prison.
O’Donnell adopted Chelsea with her first wife Kelli Carpenter, with whom she also had Blake and Vivienne O’Donnell. The actress and former talk show host is also a mother to adopted son Parker, her eldest, and 2-year-old daughter Dakota from her marriage to Michelle Rounds.
