Chris Hemsworth Talks About His Giant Prosthetic Penis In ‘Vacation’: ‘It Was Embarrassing’

In the movie Vacation, Chris Hemsworth not only had to strip down to show off his body, but he also had walk around in one scene wearing tight boxers stuffed with a giant fake penis.

“It was embarrassing,” the Thor star told me E! News yesterday at the Vacation premiere in L.A. “It was hilarious and probably more for other people than me…I was intimidated by that set and scene.” Even though it was embarrassing for Hemsworth to shoot the scene, he did have a say in how large the fake penis would be.

“We went to a room with him and he modeled a couple of options for us,” co-director and writer Jonathan M. Goldstein said. “It was the weirdest couple of hours,” John Francis Daley said at the premiere. Hemsworth revealed that his say in the faux penis was part of character development. “We went bold, ya know—big and bold,” he said.

Hemsworth plays the character Stone Crandall, who is a gardener married to, Leslie Mann‘s character, Audrey Crandall. The plot of the movie revolves around a father, Rusty Griswold, who is played by Ed Helms, who takes his family on a road trip to “Walley World” in attempt to bond with his wife and two sons.

Yesterday Hemsworth tweeted a photo of himself, and his brothers Luke and Liam Hemsworth.
