Arizona Snorkeler Uncovers Underwater Skeleton Tea Party
A snorkeler discovered two fake skeletons having a tea party underwater in the Colorado River.
Skeleton Tea Party Proved A Prank By La Paz County Sheriff
The Arizona snorkeler was taking a dive off Cineaga Springs on Monday when he found what looked like two skeletons sitting in lawn chairs at the bottom of the river. The snorkeler contacted the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department about the possible human remains, but after an investigation by the La Paz County Sheriff and the Bucksin Fire Department it was discovered that the remains were actually fake skeletons.
“When firefighter Foerstner located the alleged remains, he found it to be an underwater tea party with two fake skeletons sitting in lawn chairs,” said the sheriff’s department.
“Although the call itself was resource intensive, both the Sheriff’s Office and Bucksin Fire were happy to find that the remains weren’t real and thanked the reporting party for making the call,” added the department.
La Paz County’s Lt. Curt Bagby told Fox News that the divers “checked it out and came up laughing,” adding that he’s thankful the entire incident turned out to be a prank and isn’t looking to punish the person responsible.
