Kevin Bacon has fans reeling after sharing a selfie on Twitter and Instagram Monday, showing off what appears to be a brand new face.

Bacon posted the selfie on social media, writing, “Greetings from the UK!”

Bacon’s bloated, foreign appearance struck fans, but it’s clearly the work of prosthetics and makeup. What isn’t clear is the reason for Bacon’s new look. The actor currently stars on Fox’s The Following, but he also appears in commercials for Incredible Egg, so perhaps the change of face is for an advertisement campaign?
