Rihanna made a grand entrance at the 2015 Met Gala in a bright yellow dress with the longest train of the night.

Rihanna’s Met Gala Look

For this year’s Met Gala theme, China: Through the Looking Glass, Rihanna sought out Chinese couture and found the romantic yellow haute couture gown by Chinese designer Guo Pei while doing some research on the Internet.

Get The Look For Less: Dress, Neiman Marcus, $488.60. Shoes, Zappos, $79. Headband, Amazon, $2.78.

“I’m so in love with this dress, but the train is insane!” Rihanna told Vanity Fair. “I can’t really walk in it without any help—but it’s so worth it. I love this dress so much! It’s Chinese couture and it’s made by Guo Pei. It’s handmade by one Chinese woman and it took her two years to make. I found it online.”

The head-turning imperial yellow dress came complete with a fur-trimmed cape and train that featured golden floral embroidery.

Acknowledging her show-stopping entrance, Rihanna captioned a picture on Instagram, “present!! ✋”

For Pei, making memorable designs that stop people in their tracks is exactly what she’s after.

“The focus and the attention paid to this dress will make it remembered by the world—[what] I want is to make them remember,” Pei told The Cut. “It is my responsibility to let the world know China’s tradition and past, and to give the splendor of China a new expression. I hope that people do know China in this way.”
